September 17, 2026, 4:00 PM–4:30 PM Bells Across America at Courthouse Arts and Culture, Clubs and Organizations, Community, Government Location: Henry County Courthouse, 660 N Perry St, Napoleon, Ohio 43545 Celebrate and learn about the U.S. Constitution signing! Join in the national, clangorous celebration, echoing the joyful church bells of Philadelphia that rang out on September 17, 1787! This is an annual nationwide event to recognize the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. This year, the Napoleon Public Library is partnering with Elijah Gunn Sr. Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to hold an event outside the Henry County Courthouse on Thursday, September 17. A handbell quartet from Emanuel Lutheran Church will ring patriotic songs, and attendees will receive a small bell with information about the U.S. Constitution. At 4:00 pm church bells across Henry County will ring for one minute to recognize the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. If it rains, the event will be held inside at the Napoleon Public Library.
