I’m glad to report that the first meeting of the new Family Craft Hour on 2-24-24 was a rousing success! So much so that I’m switching it from a monthly program to a weekly program! Any adult is welcome to attend with their favorite child or children from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
As I told those who attended today, I started with crochet, since a patron wanted to learn, but I’d like to expand this program. I’d like to offer all sorts of learning opportunities, especially in the area of “lost arts.” So if you have a skill, say in leather working, whittling, weaving, or any other craft, or if you know someone who does, please contact me at McClure Community Library at 419-748-8922. If I don’t answer, I may be closed or helping another patron–please leave a message. Also, please feel free to spread the word!

Filling Homes Designer Purse Bingo takes place at the Filling Homes Community Center located at 470 Independence Dr, Napoleon.
This evening in Spring is planned so that men and women (but mostly women) can grab a dauber, a drink and as many bingo cards as can be watched for a chance to win one (or more) of 20 lovely, designer handbags! A basket raffle, 50/50 drawing, food and beverages are all part of the fun.
The proceeds always fund one of the programs that benefit the residents and clients served by Filling Homes.

Help children deal with death, divorce, pet loss, moving, and other losses~

As parents, or those entrusted with children in our lives, we want to help our children in every way we can, especially when they are experiencing painful events. T he Helping Children With Loss program provides helpful information and proven tools to effectively help children work through the emotionally painful events that happen in life.

H elping Children With Loss is for adults such as:

Parents
Teachers
Coaches
Counselors
Youth Pastors
Daycare Providers
Juvenile Justice Staff
others who work with youth
This program is modelled on the evidenced-based Grief Recovery Method and will meet on Thursday evenings for 4 weeks, April 4 – April 25, 2024, from 6:00-8:00pm.
Please plan to attend all 4 sessions.
THERE IS NO COST – service is provided by Henry County Health Department for anybody experiencing loss of any kind, with books furnished by the Four County ADAMhs Board.

This morning, we will celebrate the opening of the Soaring Art’s collaborative Alcohol Ink Exhibit at the church! We will also be having….drum roll……the reveal of the new Noah’s Ark mural that Mary Cole recently designed and painted at the church! It is impressive! You want want to miss seeing it in person!
The Artists will be here this morning to show you around. We will also have refreshments and games, if you’d like to make a morning of it!
