This year’s symposium blends expert instruction, lived experience, and trauma-informed practices designed to support professionals responding to violence with clarity and compassion. We are honored to welcome Jim Schmidt of the Gabby Petito Foundation as our keynote speaker, who will share both personal perspective and advocacy expertise, underscoring the importance of prevention, survivor-first responses, and meaningful collaboration. Attendees will gain practical tools, fresh perspective, and renewed connection to the work we do—and why it matters.
