Community Concert Series “Aftermath, Experience the 60’s” at Holgate Community Park

Come and enjoy this FREE community event hosted by the Holgate Community Library! This year’s band is “Aftermath, Experience the 60’s.”
Aftermath Experience the Sixties show recreates the sights and sounds of the 60s featuring authentic reproductions of some of the most memorable songs from the 60s.
Aftermath delivers the sights with period-correct costuming and delivers the sounds of the 60s so authentically it’s easy for the audience to go back in time while watching, listening and enjoying Aftermath Experience the Sixties deliver a spot-on, family-friendly performance.
During the show, audiences relive the 60s listening to British Invasion, 60s Pop, Psychedelic and ‘Everything Groovy.’ From the Beatles, Byrds & ‘Stones to the Monkees, Grass Roots, Turtles and Strawberry Alarm Clock, Aftermath is the 60s while performing the show.
Aftermath has shared the stage with the likes of The Hollies, 1964 The Tribute, Peter Noone, The Vogues, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Buckinghams, 1910 Fruitgum Co. and several other national acts. Aftermath also performed shows as a featured headline act at festivals, fairs, community concert series events, rib burn offs and other public and private engagements.

X&A 5K in Deshler

The annual X&A 5K and 3.21 Memorial walk is scheduled for July 5, 2025, in Deshler. As you know this event commemorates Xavier and Aidan Wensink and their passion for running. Please join us in this community event to run the streets of Deshler, on roads they ran repeatedly over the years, in celebration of their lives. The 5K (3.1 mile) race/memorial walk will take place on July 5, 2025 and starts at 9 am and begins and ends at Deshler Village Park with all proceeds earned going towards Wellness projects in the Patrick Henry Community. There will also be a 1 mile memorial walk for those who do not wish to participate in the timed 5K route. Dave’s Running will be facilitating chip timing technology for fast accurate results for those runners and walkers who choose to be timed. Register by June 18 to reserve your shirt and commemorative wrist-band. Race day registration will not include a shirt. Early Packet Pickup will be available Wednesday July 2nd, time and location TBD. Door Prizes given to registered 5K participants. Pancakes will be served following the race in memory of Aidan’s love of pancakes.

To reduce cost for large families, please register multiple participants with one transaction to reduce processing fees. Also, registrants with a cart total of $80 or more, use coupon code FAMILY10 to receive a 10% discount.
We will also have a 1K (0.6 mile) Fun Run for kids starting at 8:30 am. Fun Run participants receive a medal, a tribute wristband, and Xavier and Aidan’s favorite treats, skittles and cosmic brownies.

Napoleon’s 250th Celebration/July 4th Fireworks will begin at dark – usually 10PM.
The 2026 Napoleon Parks & Recreation 4th of July celebration schedule can be found at www.napoleonohio.com/news with a fireworks display scheduled for Saturday, July 4 at 10:00PM.
The fireworks will be shot from the NHS grounds with viewing available at Glenwood Park and the Napoleon School areas.
Parking will not be allowed on Bales from Westmoreland to Chelsea and on Briarheath from Kenilworth to Bales.
