I’m glad to report that the first meeting of the new Family Craft Hour on 2-24-24 was a rousing success! So much so that I’m switching it from a monthly program to a weekly program! Any adult is welcome to attend with their favorite child or children from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
As I told those who attended today, I started with crochet, since a patron wanted to learn, but I’d like to expand this program. I’d like to offer all sorts of learning opportunities, especially in the area of “lost arts.” So if you have a skill, say in leather working, whittling, weaving, or any other craft, or if you know someone who does, please contact me at McClure Community Library at 419-748-8922. If I don’t answer, I may be closed or helping another patron–please leave a message. Also, please feel free to spread the word!

Sacred Heart, New Bavaria will be holding a Drive Through Chicken BBQ on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Holgate Park.
Serving begins at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until sold out.
Menu includes ½ chicken prepared by the Holgate Volunteer Fire Department, baked beans, potato salad, roll and cookies.
Cost is $12.00 per meal or $9.00 for ½ chicken only.
