Mental Health First Aid Training- Youth model

The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses in youth. Be prepared when a mental health crisis happens.

Children’s Storytime at Napoleon Library

Storytime at Napoleon Public Library will be at 10AM on Friday, June 6 and will continue every Friday throughout June. Storytime will include fun, interactive stories, songs, and rhymes. They are followed by craft sessions or ‘Toddler Time’, an independent and group play session for children to move their bodies and practice fine motor skills with a variety of toddler friendly activities.

Rudy’s Runners 5K Run or Walk

Location: Holgate School, 801 E Joe E Brown Ave, Holgate, OH 43527

Sixth Annual Rudy’s Runners 5K will be held Saturday June 28th – the morning of Eye to the Skies in Holgate.

This race was started with the Rudy Casillas family as a memorial 5K in Rudy’s honor.

Rudy Casillas was an active runner and marathoner from Holgate Ohio and was seen daily running around town.

Funds raised this year from the 5K will continue to go the Rudy’s Runner Memorial Scholarship, which is for Holgate High School seniors who ran cross country or track.

The race will run through the streets of Holgate.

Packet Pickup starts at 8AM day of the race.

We will have race day registration allowed, but no shirt guarantee after June 20th. Register early to guarantee a t-shirt!

**Cash Prizes for top female and male finisher**

Start and Finish line will be at the track at Holgate High School

We are excited to bring the 5th annual Zamora Hoopfest to Napoleon Ohio!
Each summer this event brings entertainment 🏀🎶, food 🍔🍗, drinks 🥤, and even day pool 🏊🏻‍♂️ passes for the kids wanting to enjoy the pool to beat the heat ☀️ all in our hometown.
Our 5 v 5 Hoopfest will take place at Glenwood Park in Napoleon, OH on Saturday June 28th at 9:00AM. The tournament is an open division double elimination tournament and we are accepting 6-8 teams ($25 per player) to compete in this years Hoopfest. Humane Society Bingo

Since 1998, the HCHS has been successfully operating a State licensed bingo game to help keep our shelter operating. This is important to our shelter as we receive no county or state funding. Players and volunteers are always welcome!
Monday nights @ the Filling Home Community Center- 470 Independence Drive, Napoleon, Ohio.
Doors open at 5pm – games start at 7pm.
Must at least 18 years of age for entry. You must play bingo or volunteer to be present. Volunteers may arrive as early as 4PM to assist with set up. (Please contact us in advance if you choose to help with set up.)
