Location: Holgate Community Library, 204 Railway Ave, Holgate, OH 43527

We are so excited to announce that Derrick Maassel will be having his first-ever solo Art Exhibit at the Holgate Community Library! It will be on display for the month of June, during regular buisness hours.
Join us on Monday, June 6th from 5PM-7PM as we kick off this exhibit! For the Opening Reception, all of Derrick’s current work will be on display. Come enjoy some light refreshments, view the gallery, and meet/talk with Derrick. All of his art will also be available for purchase this night.
Here is a little more about our featured Artist:
“I’m Derrick Maassel, and I am an Artist at Soaring Arts. I find that art helps me to be calm, and it inspires me to be creative.
I like to do a lot of different art projects. I specifically enjoy doing wood projects, painting, sanding and doing acrylic pours. I enjoy making art that I can share with customers. I like to talk to customers about art and then see if we have things in common that we could build a friendship on.
I also work for the Liberty Center Post Office. When I’m not at work, I like to play video games!”

*The Holgate Community Library has been serving it’s community since 1922. They house a large collection of fiction and non-fiction books, audio visual materials, DVD’s and magazines, along with juvenile and young adult sections. They pride themselves in having a large history selection. In 2018, they remodeled their building. It’s now a beautiful, spacious Library that is an asset to our area!
*Soaring Arts is a vibrant and inspiring place where Artists of all abilities are empowered to explore their talents and express themselves through the Arts!

Community Drum Circling Night

Arts and Culture, Community

Location: Pocket Park, W Washington St, Napoleon, OH 43545

Join us for a Community Drum Circle Night at Pocket Park!
There is something freeing about expressing ourselves through rhythm. This night we will set aside some time to create collaborative rhythm. You don’t have to have experience in drumming to participate and you don’t need to bring your own drums, (unless you’d like to..to play or share) but we will have drums available as well for all. Everyone is welcome….from the youngest to the oldest, as we enjoy this time together!
We will have guest musician, Glen Wright here this night to help get us started, as well as a few of our Studio Artists who excel in drumming.
We will be set up in Pocket Park on Washington Street. It is diagonally across the street from the Studio and right beside The Soaring Arts Studio #2. If it rains, we will plan on moving indoors.
We’d love to have you join us!
There is no cost to attend. Come one! Come all!
Mark your calendars now!
