Wreaths Across America Ceremony
Church Event, Community, Holiday
Location: St Paul Napoleon Twp, 16976 County Road Q1, Napoleon, OH 43545
The courage and sacrifice of our military veterans should never be forgotten. Saturday, December 16 is National Wreaths Across America day – when citizens across the country come together to remember our fallen, honor those who serve, and teach younger generations the value of freedom.
Join us at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township cemetery (16976 County Road Q1, Napoleon) as we lay wreaths on every veterans headstone at the cemetery and recognize each veteran individually for their service to our nation.
This program was started in 1992 with the laying of 5,000 wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery and has expanded to 2.7 million wreaths being laid at over 3,700 locations in all 50 states and abroad.
We extend a special invitation to family members of veterans interred in the cemetery to lay a wreath at their veterans headstone.
A ceremony, prior to the wreath laying, will be held in the parish hall at 12:00 pm (noon).
The deadline to order wreaths has passed. If you are still interested in sponsoring a wreath the cost is $17. Checks can be made payable to St. Paul’s Men of God.
